Loraine Wyatt,
founder of STRONGER WITH DEMENTIA
This peer support group is the natural evolution of Loraine Wyatt's journey. After many months of worry, testing and uncertainty, Loraine was officially diagnosed with younger/early onset Alzheimer's disease in January of 2023. It then took a very long time to locate support, for a person with the diagnosis, and not directed at our deserved, loving care partners. In the midst of her Alzheimer's journey Loraine was able to graduate with her MBA in Non Profit Management in May of 2024, she currently serves on multiple boards, from a local Historic Preservation organization, to an international Dementia organization. She has been an outspoken advocate for access to more information and support for those in her situation, including speaking for a national Alzheimer's organization. Loraine has served as an Ambassador for Lily Pharmaceuticals, representing those with younger/early onset Alzheimer's. In addition Loraine has participated in numerous studies and is currently enrolled in a clinical trial. Loraine and her spouse split their time between Ohio and North Carolina to continue making memories with their 7 grown children and 18 grandchildren.
